Ydwer van der Heide an ambassador for Wings for Life World Run, took part with his wheelchair a remarkable three months after his accident – what’s even more impressive is that he covered two kilometers. His fortitude is further proven by his continuing photography and becoming a Red Bull Illume Semi-finalist.

A global run for everyone
The Wings for Life World Run is taking place on May 5, 2024. 100% of the proceeds go to funding spinal cord research and it’s a great fun day out. You can either run at a flagship event, a local event or on your own via the app.
